    Replacing Google with Blekko

    I decided to do a week-long switch from Google to Blekko as my primary search engine. I replaced my defaults in Chrome with Blekko and away I went.

    TL;DR;

    There are definitely some frustrating results returned where I instantly know that I’d get better results using Google (so I do), but on the whole for the majority of my searches Blekko is fine. I had the most issues with blekko when I’d copy/paste an error message verbatim, in quotes, and it would return things unrelated. That was odd.

    I like the concept of slashes and creating my own custom ones. That’s helpful when I know the sites that I want to filter by when looking up a dev issue (msdn, w3c, stackoverflow, etc).

    So, will I keep Blekko? Maybe until the end of the week, but I don’t think I can give up Google’s search results and speed just yet.
